Set of objects is above the water, evoked emotions is under the water. This is the image-complex.

Eliot would say that I chose the object and you will choose what I complex I intended (determinism).

Pound would say I choose the object and you choose whatever complex you want


An objective correlation between the object and the emotion. They cannot be separated, is what Eliot would say.
